Planets in Generantis are created by the player, with each planet's content defined by items collected in the previous planet. When playing on planets to create other planets, branches of these levels are made, allowing for a branching universe.
Different items your character can wear can affect how they coordinate with each other. This is a character spawning bomb blocks with his wings, then shooting at them with bombs to make them explode efficiently. The explosions deal damage to enemies who get caught in the blast, but watch out for the block's explosions yourself! Ideally, other items such as anti explosion armor would keep you from taking too much damage.
Many different abilities are possible through Lua scripting. This is an ability that triggers when you jump with a ninja wizard, inspired by Path of Exile's Flicker Strike. Different items in Generantis could roll with different variations of their own abilities, allowing for item searching and character building to be challenging but fun at the same time.
Another example of item builds is this, a character who shoots half-souls, which combine with the enemy's soul to create a minion. Minions can be exploded with the potion's component "explode minion." With the cursor near a minion, drinking the potion will detonate that minion for a bigger explosion. Possible strategies with this build would be having the half souls do little to no damage in order to avoid killing the enemies but rather convert them, and a potion with low cooldown and knowing when to explode minions when they are about to run out of health.
